According to Google, the thread entitled "What the HECK is going on in
France?" has inspired over 600 responses!
Is that a record?

Several years ago I was a regular reader of alt.mountain-bike and there was
a single innocent post that started a thread that lasted a few months and
probably generated 800 or more responses. The innocent poster's question?
"Does anyone know where I can buy a Christian cycling jersey?"

Well, theres a thread on the pirate4x4 forum (not newsgroup) that has
gone over 63 pages in less than a week last time I saw. It was basically
a misrepresentation of something for sale.
The seller got owned, to put it simply.

France!

There was one post that explained the situation very well, I thought. Now,
you just have to find it!

I'm going over to France for a few days in early December. I'll try to
find out for you! :-)

Covering at least five different subjects, as far as I can tell.

Nowhere close. There have been some threads in unmoderated groups in which
discussions of the holocaust have run for years.

If a tank is out of ammunition, what you have is a sixty ton portable
radio.

This has been invalidated by the undertakers lobbies. The modern version goes
"From dust were ye made and unto formaldehyde wilt ye go."

Check for one by Greg Farris, posted 11-8 at 7:16 PM. IIRC, there was another
that detailed other factors.

The company takes care of that! :-)
Our lab is in Fountainbleau, which is pretty quiet. The only challenge
is getting from De Gaulle to there without any excitment!

Some people will do anything to boost their stats...even ask about
what's going on in France :-)

Recall that the first break was disparaging American's religious tendencies.
(In contrast with those of Europe....rationalizing Europe's bending over and
spreading their cheeks)

Myself, I'll go to dust, with the aid of a crematorium.
